Commissioned Artwork- "Blush and Blooms"
Ellen GonzalesShare
There’s something timeless and tender about the gentle blush of a blooming peony. “Blush and Blooms,” my latest commission, captures that very feeling — softness, grace, and quiet joy — on a grand 36x72 inch canvas.
This piece was created as a custom request, with the vision of bringing warmth and elegance to a serene living space. The result is an expansive floral composition, filled with layers of soft pinks, delicate whites, and warm neutrals, grounded by just a whisper of earthy green and a moody navy background that really brings the peonies forward.
Painted with acrylics on stretched canvas, this piece blends loose brushwork with intentional texture, creating a sense of movement and depth. I worked in gentle washes and thicker strokes to let each bloom feel both dreamy and dimensional. No palette knives were used — just brushes, intuition, and a lot of love for every petal.
What I love most about “Blush and Blooms” is how it quietly commands attention — not with boldness, but with peace. It’s the kind of piece that makes a room feel more like a sanctuary.
It was a joy and an honor to bring this vision to life for a client who cherishes art and floral beauty as deeply as I do. I’m always grateful for the trust placed in me through commissioned pieces — they become personal not just for the collector, but for me as the artist.
If you're interested in a custom floral painting that reflects your space and story, I would love to connect. You can reach me directly through my website or email me here.
Here’s to more beauty, more blooms, and art that speaks softly but deeply.
