Where Stillness Blooms: The Quiet Power Behind My Work

Updated: Apr 4

There’s a moment in every painting where everything slows.

It’s not when the composition is finished or when the final highlights are placed—but somewhere in between. When the layers begin to speak to one another. When the chaos of underpainting settles into something intentional. That’s where the work becomes more than paint.

That’s where stillness blooms.

My process is layered—acrylics, inks, mark-making, sometimes fragments of scripture written so small they almost disappear. Then oils, slowly built over time. Each piece becomes an original fine art painting, created with depth, texture, and a sense of quiet movement that continues to unfold over time.

I’m not just painting florals.

I’m creating contemporary floral paintings that hold both fragility and strength at the same time.

Florals, for me, have never been decorative. They are symbolic. Hydrangeas carry emotion and renewal. Peonies speak of fullness and quiet confidence. Even in my desert landscape paintings, where the environment feels sparse, there is always something pushing through—something alive, something blooming.

That tension is intentional.

Because life is often lived in that in-between space.

My work is rooted in the belief that beauty is not reserved for perfect conditions. That growth doesn’t require ease. That even in seasons that feel dry or uncertain, something meaningful is unfolding beneath the surface. Each original oil painting or mixed media piece is an exploration of that quiet transformation.

You’ll often find scripture woven into my pieces—not as something loud or overt, but as a foundation. A quiet truth holding everything together. For those who recognize it, it’s an invitation. For those who don’t, it still remains—steady, grounding, present.

I want my work to feel like something that draws you in, not with urgency, but with presence. The kind of work that collectors seek when looking for meaningful fine art for the home—pieces that bring calm, depth, and a sense of story into a space.

Because in a world that moves quickly, there is something rare about choosing stillness.

And even more rare about collecting it.
